Wally & Brenda Leite
Aloha! My name is Wally and I was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. I was involved in sports all through my childhood, high school and college days. I was also involved in hunting and fishing throughout my childhood and continue to love fishing to this day. I found my love for rodeo at about 12 years old and began competing as a bull rider as an adult. I spent many years participating in rodeos all over the western US. During this time, my vision began to diminish, and it began challenging to compete. Through the challenges with my vision and my inability to compete in rodeo myself, I began to develop my personal relationship with Christ. As my relationship with Jesus continued to grow, he opened my eyes not through physical vision but through my heart and understanding that he had a greater plan for my life. My passion now is to reach the next generation through FCA and open their hearts to Jesus so they can experience the same peace, grace, and love as I am blessed to know. These days, I continue to spend nearly every weekend at rodeo arenas watching my 6-year-old son compete.
Hello! My name is Brenda, and I am originally from Las Vegas, Nevada but now call Hilo, Hawaii home. I grew up playing a variety of teams sports and was a very competitive golfer. I was very much a city girl, but God had other plans for my life when he brought me together with this Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy). I have since traded my country club life for trucks, trailers, dirt and livestock. I love watching my son with his horse and realizing what a blessing it is to raise children in this rodeo lifestyle. My greatest joy in life is spreading the gospel and having the privilege of bringing others to Christ and watch them accept Jesus in their lives through this FCA ministry. I am excited to continue this journey with my family and reach the rodeo, fishing and hunting communities here in Hawaii and wherever God leads us.
