Ricky Sparks
Ricky Sparks is the area director for southwestern Colorado. He grew up in the mountains of Western Colorado and lives there now with his wife, Brandy, and their two children. Ricky played baseball at Dallas Baptist University and later pitched in the New York Mets organization. Since his baseball career ended in 2008, sports and outdoor ministry has always been a part of his life. He has been on staff with FCA since 2016 and has since helped introduce FCAO in Colorado. He has organized youth elk and deer hunts, put on a “Fishing with the Pros” event for donors and board members, led outdoors discipleship and bible study groups, among other things. He hopes to grow FCAO in Colorado by adding outdoor specific staff and by growing the number of FCA Outdoors huddles in Western Colorado.
